One of my clients had one goal: to be BUFF like Superman!
So that seems to be the mission for most of my clients but it’s even more challenging when they’re just starting out in the world of fitness and exercise.
He simply joined a gym one weekend after making a big decision to change his life and worked out as hard as he possibly could on the day he signed up.
He woke up the next day feeling like every muscle on his body was about to snap into a million pieces and can barely get out of bed.
I call this the “I just joined a gym and I’m going to be like superman” syndrome. Not only is this extremely foolish but also very dangerous.
I highly recommend taking things easy when you start a new workout routine and you should always consult with a doctor or a personal trainer in order for them to formulate the proper exercises that gets you the best possible results without injuring yourself.
So the million dollar question here is, will my client ever look like Superman? Yes, because after that painful lesson he’s not only decided to work with a personal trainer but to start and stay on a great nutritious diet he can stick to easily.
